Meet the woman behind the flowers and Flores Del Amor: Janette. She started almost two decades ago in Humboldt Park, Chicago with a dream to make the community she loved better. People told her this dream wasn’t possible and to give up on this neighborhood. Janette saw what they couldn’t see, an opportunity to fill this garden of hopelessness and drought with flowers. In 1996, she planted a seed — Flores Del Amor. And through watering this seed with constant perseverance, remaining humble and a lot of sacrifice, Flores Del Amor took root and slowly blossomed into a beautiful flower that has brought up the community of Humboldt Park shedding its former image into a bold, new and promising area to live.
What makes this florist unique is the classic “mom and pop” personal atmosphere, an atmosphere hard to find now a days unfortunately. We get to know you from the second you walk in the door till the second you walk out, and sometimes…even after. Don’t be surprised if Janette walks you out personally and guides you to gently place your beautiful flowers in your car! Beyond expected customer service is why we retain our clients, in fact we don’t even like calling it a ‘service’, it’s just something we do!
